Representation of the City and Territory
Supervisor: Prof. Andrea Rolando, PhD
The course aims to equip first-year students with the tools to interpret their surroundings, from human scale to urban scale. It starts with traditional design tools and gradually introduces more complex methods, ultimately enabling students to use everyday devices to map and design the city in real time.

Landscape Representation
Supervisor: Prof. Andrea Rolando, PhD
The course introduces an historic critical review of various kinds of representations referring to different kinds of landscapes: natural or resulting from the rich interaction between natural facts and human interventions. The aim is that of cultivating the use of drawing as a fundamental base for critical interpretation of places based on visual thinking, and as a tool to express design intentions at a territorial scale.

Techniques of Representation
Supervisor: Alessandro Scandiffio, PhD
This module aims to provide an understanding of the survey and representation phases necessary for conservation projects. It addresses methodological and theoretical aspects in a multidisciplinary way. The exercises, applied to a former industrial building, focus on reading the structure and producing its 2D and 3D representation.
